Welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Phi Omega Chapter. This year we proudly celebrate our 116th Year of Service and Sisterhood. Under the guidance of our International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, we are excited to implement our 2022-2026 Platform, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” focusing on five key initiatives that address the most pressing issues in our local communities: - Empower Our Families - Build Our Economic Wealth - Enhance Our Environment - Advocate for Social Justice - Uplift Our Local Community Youth to Seniors)

 

As we soar into 2026, we honor the legacy of Phi Chi Omega’s 25 years of service to Surry and Isle of Wight Counties. Our dedicated members, consisting of passionate and community-oriented women, strive to create programs that align with our mission of serving all mankind, and positively impacting the lives of those we serve. UNITY POINTS OF PRIDE - Educational Scholarships for Surry, Smithfield, and IOW Seniors - Healthy Snacks for Students - of School Supplies - Support for Food Drives - Hosting Local NAACP MLK Events for Elderly and Disabled Attendees - Active Community Engagement at events like the Juneteenth Festival, Character Day at Surry Elementary, National Night Out, Trunk or Treat, Community Christmas Parades, Senior Citizen Activities, and Mental Health Awareness Walks - Voter Registration Drives and Candidate Forums in Windsor/Surry/Smithfield

 

As we embark on a year of planning impactful programs, we are thankful for our past achievements and the support we’ve received.  As a proud 49-year member of this extraordinary Sorority, I am honored to serve as Chapter President alongside 48 incredible women, including educators, healthcare professionals, community leaders, military veterans, and lawyers who have all made significant contributions to communities.
